this is the dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed in - in the dirtiest, sleaziest location. The furniture was stained, someone had put stickers all over it. There was a water leak on the floor. There are drug addicts, beggars, prostitutes right on the door step. It wasnt cheap at GBP 149

BAHNHOFSVIERTEL. This Hotel is in the "Red Light District" of Frankfurt. The service is good, very kind and to the point. The bathroom reeks of mold and is completely infested (Photos Included). The bed is creaky and there's stains on the chair and on the curtain. The bedsheets and towels are clean (and smell very very good). There is a fridge included but this is not a place someone should stay and feel safe. When looking around our room there is some dirt and grime on the floor as well. LOCATION?? TERRIFYING! My boyfriend and I witnessed a drug deal (they also threatened the couple walking infront of us) there are multiple junkies and homeless walking around. Even though the location is close to the Hauptbahnhof (the main station for frankfurt) There are also strip clubs, multiple s*x and f*tish shops and hookers. To make it even worse, there are multiple brothels (not historic, still up and running) It is not somewhere anyone should be. There are other reviews about how it is good for families. It's not, it's actually the worst thing for a family possible. Do. Not. Stay. Here

**All my reviews are written in a way that is fair and unbiased** ***Stop**** If you are thinking of taking your family and have young children or are a recovering victim of drug abuse, domestic violence/sex trafficking if you suffer depression and anxiety this may not be the ideal hotel for you especially if you are triggered easily by any of the previously listed. Upon arrival at the hotel, the smells are of various tobacco smokes, drugs and urine. The street at which the hotel is located is in the heart of the red light district which is a very loud and vibrant street. If you wish to visit those attractions the hotel is well located for all your needs but don't expect to get much sleep. The reception desk as you walk in is fine and the gentleman at the front desk is very pleasant and friendly. He spoke fluent English enough to have a conversation. I was pleasantly surprised how many more of the people in Frankfurt were fluent in English than in Berlin. I went to my room and had issues using the door mechanism and had to have the man at the front desk show me how the mechanism works. Upon entering the hotel room itself it was very clean and well kept, the TV was large and in working order. I really appreciated that they had international news channels available for my language. The bathroom had been very well equipped to modernise and was very big. I found that there were no hand soap available after using the toilet and when I went to use the shower who ever fixed the shower head holder instead of putting a new one in place where the old one had broken put a new one on lower down and now the shower head points below the shower curtain meaning the floor got flooded after one shower. The first night trying to sleep was one of the worst hotel experiences I personally have ever had. Due to the hotel being located next to a brothel the music shook the room and was auditable through out the night up until 7am . I woke up with neck ache as the pillows were not solid enough to comfort the neck and I then suffered a migraine. I slept partially waking up through the night just to try to sleep again with this happening repeatedly. People were shouting in the hallway with no respect for other guests and eating food that smelt revolting. Through the night and through the day people could be heard shouting outside and the screams of heroin addicted prostitutes getting beaten by their pimps and screaming crack addicts were regular. I stepped outside and right away could see heroin addicts burning drugs on spoons and crack pipes being lit right outside the hotel reception doors. People purposely tried to stare me out as I walked down the road probably looking for a fight. I definitely could tell the area is anything but safe or child friendly. The bathroom was reported and the gentleman at the front desk was apologetic but couldn't do anything until the next morning by the second night putting my head to the pillow hearing those same screams, shouting in the hall ways vomit smells and the thumping music making it hard to sleep, I decided enough is enough and packed my bags and decided to leave. I was up until 3am walking around to find another hotel. I have since requested a refund for the 2 days I paid for that were impossible for me to stay and have no recieved any acknowledgement. It seems at this point it's an if they can do enough to make you leave they keep your money and get the next victims in. I really would be cautious if you are thinking of using this hotel but of course the choice is yours. My review is yours to read and as I said this reflects my personal experience and I know I have now read others with similar experiences. 2/5 nightmare experience

We chose to stay at this hotel for a night as it appeared affordable. It's 'free parking' means no parking, and as we sweeped the area for somewhere to park, we discovered a rubbish and trash ridden street with junkies stoned out of their mind and taking a piss on the walls lining the pathways. The area stank, the reception smelt like sewage, and although it appeared clean- We soon discovered that to be a lie. After photocopying our passports, we were sent into a ratchet elevator that stank of weed. Our room itself was infested with little bugs of unknown origin, stains lined the walls coupled with random burn marks on furniture, stains on pillows alongside pubes. Don't be fooled by how it appears to be photographed.

We stayed here as the first stop in our family honeymoon (meaning we brought my 14 year old sister along for the trip). We arrived at 10.30pm at night on a Saturday, and my gosh was it an eye opening experience. We get out of the taxi and there is a man less than 5m away from my sister, casually shooting up herion. So when they say it's in the middle of rhe red light district, it is not wrong. On the weekends it's absolute chaos. Either anywhere up to 50 people across from the apartment all doing and dealing drugs. From what we could work out, there is a methadone clinic opposite, so that is why they congregate there. Reception are there 24/7, so they are extremely helpful and friendly. They printed our train tickets for us upon departure. The location is extremely central. It's a 4min walk to Frankfurt HBF. But the biggest downside is stepping outside and needing to get through the red light district. Price wise, it's not a bad option for where it is. I was disappointed as when we booked, it included a free breakfast daily. When we enquired we were advised that it is no longer on. So that was a bit of a let down. WiFi great and no issues. Bathroom whilst small and compact, did the job with ample hot water supply. Would I stay here again? If it was just my husband and I, more than likely. But not great for children or teenagers. It's not great stepping out, and a man asking "how much" to my husband regarding my 14 year old sister and I.
